I am not sure what happened to day 4 but it looks alot like day 5. Day 4 he finshed the floor and started the molding that you buy that matches the floor. It goes along the hearth, next to the cabinets/bar and along the line where the floor and kitchen tile meet. On day 5 which was Friday, he finished that molding. He went and bought the new baseboard, painted them, and layed most of it.
This picture above shows the french door side with molding and baseboards.
This picture shows the other side of the room, where the entertainment unit was or is but pulled out. You can see where the baseboard ended. It ended because I got home from work and wanted to go to the furniture store. We were supposed to go Thursday night (my birthday remember??) but they decided they wanted to go watch King play baseball instead. So if things had not progressed as they have this would be finished by now, come 1pm Saturday. But I will get to that in a minute.
Here is the results of the furniture shopping. A recliner sofa, both ends recline. The color is Saddle.
and 2 of these rocker recliners
We also bought a 5x7 area rug to go in front of the sofa but I don't have a picture of it. The furniture will be delivered Thursday.
In the mean time, I wanted the kitchen floor laminate too. Jimmy didn't want it. He wanted to retile it. So after much discussion, the decision has been reached to put laminate down in the kitchen. He will start tearing the tile out, and a whole row of laminate in the family room has to come out. He will do that and paint the formal living room and bedroom in the next 2 weeks. I will in this time purchase the rest of the laminate and he will get the kitchen, hall, and laundry room done.
I have to call Brighthouse to get the cable moved from its current location to the new location which will be in the corner in the top photo. The sofa and one chair will go where the entertainment center is now.
And then we will be all done. Right.
It is looking great and love the furniture.

The sofa looks soft and very warm. It seems very nice and comfy to rest at, especially when it's cold. I can imagine myself on it relaxing while facing the fireplace and enjoying some hot chocolate drink. Hehe. =)
