I had a wonderful day yesterday.  I got a lot done.  I got rid of most of the stuff I had at Hilltop to get rid of.  I packed up stuff for 2 more drop offs today.  I cleaned out 3 rooms completely.  I got the boys to move out one shelf that I am going to trash when trashing time comes.  I found one desk that is height adjustable for future use that I thought was I was going to have to trash.  I fixed supper and paid some bills.  I did a bit of blog surfing and added a couple to the side bar. 

Then it all went to hell.  I went in to add another typelist for this year's books.  I created it and listed my 1st book that I finished Monday night.  I went back into my blog and the list wasn't there. I went back into the "guts" of typepad and there it was listed in my typelists but it was after 2009 instead of on top of.  I wanted it with 2010 listed, then 2009 with about 20 books, then 2008 with about 20 books.  Sometimes when I can't remember if I have read a book or not, I refer to the list.  So I go back in and try to figure out why its below 09 and how to fix it.  Now on the blog itself '10 is not showing at all.  It is in the library  but not on the blog.  So I look everywhere, read the help section etc.  Nothing.  Back and forth, save and save, nothing.  I decide to delete it and do it over again. 

I deleted 2009. My entire list of 71 books gone. Poof.  No recovery. No cancel. No do over. Gone.

I was dejected, depressed, deflated.  I was flat out bummed.  I don't want a blog.  I am not doing this anymore.  Thats it.  To hell with blogs.

Off to bed I went.  It is 11:45 David Letterman was not waiting for me. 

I lay there thinking about it.  "It"  being that damn list.  I started talking myself out of my doldrums.  I said, forget it.  What did you do before 2008 when you read a book?  You put it down and went on to the next one.  So be it.

I don't want to settle with "so be it".  I don't want to forget about it.  We live in a progressive time. I don't want to go back to 08.  Things are better in 10.

This morning I wasn't depressed.  I wasn't deflated. or dejected.  It was cold.  Too damn cold to worry about a list. 

I was getting ready to take Willa to therapy and I was packing some things I wanted in the car in case I got cold while I was (latch) hooking. 

Then it hit me.  Just take a piece of paper and recreate the list.  Go back through all your many piles of books and find as many as you can.  Go on Amazon and look at your orders.  So on PaperbackSwap and look at your bookshelf there.  So what if its not in the order you read them.  I will have a list and I will carry on.

While I was reading about blogs and typelists last night I also read about backing up your blog every so often.  I was printing my blog out but I haven't done that in ages, 2008, to be exact.

what xactly did we all do BEFORE computers? can't remember, but i went to bed dejected, deflated and totally bummed out too last night cause of technology.....very frustrating sometimes.

but today was another day and as the camera sits here staring at me, i am NOT going to even attempt to "find" the photos that wouldn't download last night. NOT GONNA DO IT.
