Not that one that can't pay her mortage. Our very own Octomom. This was taken Wednesday. She was huge. She looked like she had swallowed a small round seedless watermelon. And it was no wonder she slept the last 3 days. We could lay our hands on her and feel the movement just like pregnant human mama. We have never felt that with the animals.
Friday around 11am she began delivering. Taylor and Jimmy left around 1 and we thought there was 5. They were so piled up you couldn't tell. Rachel and I kept checking on her and kept counting. We thought there was 5 or 6. I took Rachel to her grandma's house and I went to shop for the crop. Later that night I counted again and I was convinced we had 7. I called Jimmy and told them we had 7. Which was a lot. A whole lot. Saturday morning I got up around 4:20 to pack up and go to Sarasota. Dirt finally came out, the 1st time I had seen her out from the babies. She got some water and ate a bit. I went in while she was out and counted. Omg I could believe it. I counted again. And again. There were 8. 5 orange and 3 dark. Look at that one climbing on her! Look at those little paws sticking up in the air!!
This was taken this morning when Dirt took a little break.
Dinner time. I wasn't even sure she had 8 tits! but they all get fed. I was very surprised that we didn't lose one with a litter that big. They are all doing great.
I love these kitties! I can see myself at 75 years old being a cat house. I love em!!
But before I hear all the unsolicitated remarks I can tell you she won't have anymore kitties. One litter this size is enough for her.
OMG what a hand full for some one. LOL
