Ok so I am the only one not excited that the kids are out of school and my husband is out of school. To me this means a disruption to my quiet days alone. Sorry but I love em. Now someone will be coming in and out, dirting dishes all day long and never at the same time. Someone will always be asking me whats there to eat or can we go somewhere. Taylor will be going somewhere all the time and until he has a car that means I will not have a car. Pecking order in the house works that way.
This weekend King is playing in a tournament in Port Charlotte. I am comtemplating driving to the church Friday, dropping off the trailer then driving to the game. Afterwards I am thinking about spending the night in Port Charlotte with them and getting up Saturday morning and going to the crop. They won't know until late Saturday if they are playing Sunday or not. So I may come home or go back to Port Charlotte. I can tell you I am not nearly as excited about this weekend with King as I was with the Gators. Big difference in teams.
The other day I was sitting in Publix parking lot finishing a call when a woman walked by just as a man was coming out of the store. His daughter perhaps ??? around 12 or 13 was walking up the parking lane to meet him. About this time the woman was digging in her purse and 2 bills fell out. One was a $20 and a few feet over was a $5. By now I am getting my reusable bags out. The man says get that money and take it to that woman with the white shirt, see her? The girl grabs the money and makes about 3 steps toward to the store and another woman, perhaps her mother ??? says give me that money, you ain't taking it nowhere. Off to they went to the car. Hummm. The lessons you teach your children. I just wonder which one will stick with the young girl? Which decisions will she make in her life based on that day? Actually I am probably reading too much into it. The child is probably about as molded as she is going to get.
We were really excited to see that 2 kids from King was taken in the MLB draft. Jevaraus was taken in the 7th round by the Astros. Sean was taken in the 6th round by the Reds. My old favorite team is the Reds. Sean graduated from King a few years ago, went to USF for a while on a baseball scholarship but transferred to St Pete College. He just graduated. His brother Kevin is on Kings team now and he is in the same grade as Taylor. Kevin just found out he has a fractured vertebrae in his back. No wonder its been hurting for 3 months.
I have been doing some knitting and some reading. I have also been working on some give aways for the birthday crop. I don't want to be too busy but a nice balance!
Have a great day!
well there's an up side as you can be gone now around that 2:30 time when you normally were picking up the kids...maybe I can even get you to come over here and play with me or go to the fantastic New Orleans restaurant here!!!

I totally agree with you! Life is a heck of a lot easier when the other people in the house have a "regular" schedule that takes them out of the house! Love my Hubby, but him being home all summer does make me both less efficient and just a tad cranky from time to time!
