This is going to be random because I haven't blogged in so long I think I forgot how. I started a blog a couple of days ago but someone needed the computer. He said he said it in drafts but I don't know where. Oh well. I'll just start over. Usually don't talk as much the second time around. Ya'll might get lucky.
I am going to try to blog more. I do miss it. I think I am going to start reading blogs again too. I haven't read blogs since the end of 2010. It might take me awhile to catch up.
Kim Kardashian and that basketball player she is marrying has done ticked me off. Now I don't care much about her and even less about him but I got a problem with them. That wasn't exactly english I typed lets try it again. I have a problem with them. The problem I have is them actually registering for wedding gifts. I mean she is filthy rich and he isn't exactly hovering around the poverty level. Like they couldn't buy what ever place settings, vases, ice buckets or ashtrays they wanted. Wouldn't it have been nicer if they had said "here is a couple charities we would love you to make a contribution to in lieu of gifts"??
Sunflower bread. Publix has this bread in the bakery department. It is delicious. I am not a bread person normally, Never eat bread just to eat it. I like it on a sandwich. Or at Carabba's with that olive oil and herbs. This stuff is good. I know its a tad bit more expensive then the bread on the bread aisle but it worth it every now and then.
Kitties- We have 3 kitties still. 2 orange ones and one dark stripped one. The dark one is named Pebbles. How she got that name is a long story. Ok I will tell you. Jimmy was putting a sign out in the yard that said "free kittens". We weren't exactly beating people off with a stick. We had given one away. We had 5 left. One day the door bell rang and there was a young boy on a bicycle at the door. He said he wanted a kitten and his mother said he could have one. I took him back and let him look at them and he made his selection. I told him what they were eating and all about them. I told him if it didn't work out to bring the kitty back, I didn't want it tossed out or anything. About 10 minutes later the door bell rang and there was about 6 more kids and they took 4 kittens. I told them the same thing after asking them if their parents would let them have them. To make a long story a tad shorter 3 kittens came back that night. The 1st boy that came up on the bicycle brought his back saying his dad said they were getting a new dog and couldnt have a kitten. He had named it Pebbles and we decided Pebbles it is. One set of parents came and asked all about having a kitty. What to feed it, about fleas (which they didn't have) and about litter boxes. We were sure that one was going to a good home.
The next night we pulled in the drive from Olive Garden and here comes the kid with the kitten in his hand held out at arms length. I said what is wrong with the kitty?? he said it was pooped on its butt and mom said it won't stay off the couch so I have to bring it back. So we cleaned up the kitty and we had 5 again. I am sure they changed its food and that was what caused the poor baby to have poop. I was glad to get it home to be honest.
We gave 2 more away in the next couple of days. We have 3 now. A kid came to the door yesterday wanting one and I said we don't have anymore. I decided no more kitties to kids. Adults only. I don't care if I have to keep them all and get them all fixed. One little orange one is real skittish. She runs away if you even look at her. She runs to Hilltop every couple of days and then comes home. Taylor does not like her very much because she can't be picked up at all. She will climb the walls to get away from you. She is not going to be easy. I had one woman that wanted her but I wouldn't let her go. I just don't think she is going to make a house cat. I am going to get her fixed and keep her around. I guess it will have to be on her terms though.
I went to the doctor yesterday. I have been off all my medicine for about 5 months and I wasn't feeling real good. I was getting headaches and just had no energy at all. I told Jimmy the other day all I had the energy to do was lay down. I knew the headaches were probably my blood pressure and I was taking it every now and then at Publix. 175/96 was not good numbers. That was the highest though. 170/90 was the lowest. I knew I was in trouble. I also recognized the tiredness from lack of thyroid medicine. I went to the doctor and the nurse weighed me, took my pulse, temperature and blood pressure. She said my bp was 120/65. I said what?? unbelievable. Thats why I am here. I have been really high and no meds. So the doctor came in. We started talking about me being off all my meds and no blood work. I had lost the paper work for blood work. She said your blood pressure is good. I said I don't know how. I can't believe that. I said I have been taking it at Publix and it has been high. I have been having symptoms. We talked about headaches, shortness of breath etc. She got the bp machine and took it again. 176/94. She said she was going to have her come in and take it again because she needs the practice. I said don't tell her I told on her. When the nurse came in she was definitely a tad frosty. Oh well. sorry about that but she really has to do that right. I have all my medicine now and an appt for blood work next week. I also have to go back next month for a "well woman" check up and yearly EKG. Well woman is code for pap. Oh happy day.
We have a tournament this weekend. It is a wooden bat tourney and should be alot of fun. It is Thursday Friday Saturday and possibly Sunday. I am coming home Saturday for Maegan's graduation party. It is going to be great. Melanie has everything planned and should be wonderful. Maegan will be leaving for South Florida and law school soon. Unbelievable. I can't believe she is so grown already.
I got an invitation to my nephew's baby shower today. It will be when we are at Fried Green Tomatoes. I am sorry I will miss it. First grandbaby first great nephew (or niece for that matter). I have looked over the gift registers already and have an idea of what we are going to get them. Gonna be exciting!!
If I had alot of money I would have a cable station that was all NCIS all the time. I would have continuing programs right after each other and I would have them divided to pre Ziva David and post Ziva David. I hate watching one with Kate and the next one with Ziva. Thats not how it works. Or maybe I would have one day NCIS and one day Criminal Minds. Or maybe every 3rd day CSI Las Vegas. But thats it. Only those 3 shows. Ok maybe some NCIS LA. Thats what I look for when nothing else is on.
