I can't believe all I got done today. I called this morning and got Taylor's surgery set up for Feb. 4th. He will have his pre op done on the 2nd. He is going to have the surgery at St Anthony's in St Pete. So his pre op for the hospital will be done at 11:30. After that he will go the dr's office and do the pre op there at 3pm. I think there will be time for some lunch in between. I don't have the time for the surgery. Forgot to ask that.
After that I called and got an eye doctor appt. I am out of contacts for my left eye which is not very smart since I can't see out of that eye. I could get by without my right eye having a contact but not my left. I first had an appt for Thursday at 6:30 but I decided to ask about today and she said Yes, he can see you at 11:30. I got there and did the pre exam stuff and I walk into the office and I said where is the other dr? he left about 2 months ago. Dang. And he took all his records with him. So some how the office clerk had found my last prescription and he had a starting point, or so he thought. He asked me the usual questions and I told him all was good but I thought I would probably need a little adjustment meaning stronger prescription. That is pretty evident since I have started carrying a magnifying glass in my purse. Anyway he tells me that its time to put in the contacts. So I put them in and knew instantly that there was no way those were going to work. I go back into the exam room and I said umm I don't think this is right. Why do I have +3.00 in my left eye? He said because the ones you were using were +2.75 so I upped it a bit. I said my last ones were +2.25. He said it says here your previous prescription was +2.75 and +.75, left and right. I said no those didn't work so I went on line and got my old prescription and just refilled it. I want +2.50 in the left and +1.00 in the right please. He gave those to me, I read the fine print on everything in the place. I said great, this is just right, so order me some of these please and we will be all set.
I left there and went and gave blood. Been meaning to do that.
Some good news tonight- I already own the Cricut cartridge we almost bought. Its a lucky thing that the Michaels that Elle had Bob stop at was out of them. We would have had a return. All afternoon I kept thinging I think I bought that cartridge. I think I have it. I looked in the Cricut rolling tote and it wasn't there. But then neither is my Baseball cartridge and I know I bought that. So after digging around in my cropper hopper tote I found a zip lock bag with them both in it.
Not so good news- from what I can gather the deep cut blades don't cut all the way through grungeboard. Now that will be disappointing. And there won't be a need for the cartridge I found.
Saturday Taylor will test for the high school we hope hope hope he gets into. We finally decide on one and now it is wait and see.
Saturday we have a crop in Sarasota. It feels like forever since we were there. I miss my Sarasota buddies.
Ok gonna go clean the kitchen and go to bed. Goodnight!
Yes...yes...Sarasota, can't wait. Are you bringing the Slice? I would love to see how it works...pretty please :-)
Glad you got your contacts to work. I had a situation w/ my new glasses.....way too stronge. But, they gave me a new prescription and all is good now.
See you on Saturday

I have been thinking about getting the deep cut blade for my Cricut but, I wondered, do I need to buy the deep housing for the deep blade? I have the first Cricut, not the new and improved model.
My contacts are screwed up. too. One more thing to add to my to-do list.
Good luck to Taylor (with his testing).
